Canadian data and analytics company Adastra Corporation has recently announced the launch of its first U.S. office, located in Detroit. The move reportedly underlines the expansion of Adastra’s business footprint in the North American market.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the new office will boost the Adastra’s growth and service to its U.S. based client in the Midwest and across the region. They further claim that the new office location will also help the company to setup a strategic foothold in the city that is rapidly turning into a hotspot for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Rob Turner, VP, Adastra North America, was quoted saying that the Detroit is emerging as a lucrative investment ground not only from an automotive & manufacturing perspective, but also as a technology hub around other industries. Sources cite that the expansion is expected to generate 20 employment opportunities and is targeting a move-in date by the end of third-quarter.
As per a report by Adastra, Detroit as a location for the new office was chosen strategically, given the city’s robust historical business ties with Canada. The city also boasts geographical advantages that allows to serve to additional markets in close proximity of New York City, Boston, and Chicago. Adastra’s new office is situated right in the heart of Detroit as it is very committed to the rejuvenation of the city. In addition, the company has several domestic clients that are stakeholders in Detroit such as Magna, and a significant automotive presence in Europe.
